IMPORTANT: Read This Before You Order While the AquaYouth 2.0 shower filter is highly effective at reducing a wide range of contaminants, it is not designed to reduce total dissolved solids (TDS). TDS meters measure the conductivity of water, which can identify salts and minerals, but they cannot detect toxic and harmful chemicals like chlorine, iron, mercury, chloramine, herbicides, pesticides, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Therefore, TDS should not be relied upon as the sole measure of water quality.

The two most widely used water disinfectants in the United States are chlorine and chloramine. While the AquaYouth 2.0 carbon filter is effective at filtering a broad range of contaminants, including chlorine, it is not as effective at filtering chloramine, which is more stable and harder to remove in a shower setting.
